Actually alignment isn't covered under warranty, as it is considered basic wear and tear. With how the roads are around here and many other parts of the country, your alignment can be out of whack in almost no time. Most people with new cars take good care about running over potholes and the such, but there should be no reason that alignment should be covered under warranty, especially considering how little the cost would be. If your dealer actually makes the determination that the alignment is out of whack (for a practically new vehicle that common sense suggests shouldn't have out of whack alignment yet), then there will be two options...either they can eat it and show awesome customer service OR they will pass it along to you, the consumer, that it is considered wear and tear. Most dealers probably won't eat it since it is such a wear and tear thing. I would never expect a dealer to make alignment a warranty issue because of just that, wear and tear.
