Don't tell others why I got rid of my truck. I'll tell you exactly why I got rid of my truck if you would like, but don't speculate b/c it makes you feel better about your little toy. I originally wanted the 150, but the price for the crew was outrageous, so I decided on the Titan as a compromise. I overlooked the looks for the engine (mistake). Well, after NUMEROUS problems which I have specifically outlined in many threads (not going to do it again here) I decided to look elsewhere. Timing would have it that Ford was giving huge end of year rebates and markdowns, so I figured I would just cut my losses and get what I originally wanted. I want to make this VERY clear...if the Titan had not had various squeaks/rattles/ticks/clunks/heat a/c problems (it didn't work!) then I would have kept it. I was not keen on losing a large amount of money, but driving that truck everyday listening to new rattles and clunks pissed me off so much that I jumped ship. Cars/trucks are like women...once they go bad they never get better.
For you who have bought a Titan that does none of the above, I congradulate you...I was not one of them for sure. You can call it whining, sniveling...whatever you want, I personally do not care as I have a wicked truck in the driveway that I am not spending absurd amounts of time with diagnosing the 'tick/clunk/rattle of the day'.
but that's just me
