The Extended cab Tundras have a very vertical back seat. The double cab is just as roomy as a titan crew cab. Ive sat in both on the same day at a car show. Both trucks are nice. The VVT added to the Tundra does make a lot more hp. It also gets a 5 speed tranny this year. Of course 4.7L will never get the power of 5.6L. And if VVT gets added to the Endurance, that will be something amazing. Tundra does have rear drum brakes but has (had?) the shortest stopping distance of the half ton trucks. I dont know if the Titan is better than the tundra in stopping power, but the Tundra still beats the domestics. And there are no steering shimmies I know of, I think thats the Fords. Tundras did have some problems with front brakes warping in 2000-2001, but they are fixed now. They are solid trucks and ride well, but obviously arent built up like a Titan.
I too hope Toyota wont make the new Tundra too odd looking.
