First issue with the new Titan

I was approaching a red light (at a very low rate of speed) and my front sensor went off. ( There was nothing in front of me, first vehicle in line.). Then my traction control light and ABS light came on. Turned the truck off turned it on drove a mile and boom on again, and then again this morning. Hopefully Nissan can fix it. Sadly I've read the same thread, I hope this isn't the case.

The best I have gotten out of the 1600 miles is 21 mpg. I'm usually around 17-19 depending on traffic. I take it easy on the throttle though.

Re: First issue with the new Titan

meh, its a warranty issue. better to do that then let them screw around 5-6 times and then end up doing that anyways .

Based on how my phone call went with the dealer I have a feeling I'm going to get screwed around a few times. first clue "we only have one tech certified for the new Titan"

Re: First issue with the new Titan

Mine did the same thing with 400 miles on it. ABS, slip light and low tire pressure lights all came on. Turned out to be a simple fix. ABS sensor wire had come loose and wheel weights rubbed the insulation off shorting out the circuit. ABS sensor was replaced, and apparently the new Titans don't have the sensor integrated in the hub assembly making a swap out easier. I haven't crawled under to verify this but if it's true that's a good thing.

I hope that's the issue. I take it in Friday. Hopefully it won't take long, I have an appointment to get some tint put on that day haha!

Re: First issue with the new Titan

I'm averaging 17.8 but I only have 900+ miles on mine and I keep the truck on the farm in a rural area so there's really no stop and go traffic.

Re: First issue with the new Titan

Bad news, the truck popped up with about 10 codes. They will be keeping it for a while.
