I have a Polaris 500 Sportsman quad, most of the time I haul it on my utility trailer but I have loaded it in the back of the truck a couple of times. No problem with the ramps on the tailgate. My truck is a K/C so I can close the tailgate on mine.
I wouldn't be overly concerned about the rear end of the snowmobile resting on the tailgate, I had a Tacoma double cab previously and the rear wheels of my quad rested on the tailgate of it with no problems.
Just be prepared to be bright lighted a lot, because it will raise the front end of your truck a little.
