I felt ripped off because, they advertise the entire line of proacts 9everything from cavaliers to our titan's under the same claims, less dust blah) They never mentioned anything that larger vehicles are actually diffeant coumpounds)
anyway, tirerack was nice that they let me return 3 week old pads after i forwarded the akebono reply to me. the refunded me my purchase price back.
I might try some other brand ceramics "raybestos or bosch" if either of them make ones for the titan, but still am sceptical due to my experiance with the akebono's
though for samll cars and small SUV's the Akebono's are great, so go figure they make a good light vehicle pad but a crappy heavy vehicle pad.

That's B.S. from Akebono. My last two trucks have had oem ceramic factory pads, a '99 Silverado 1500, and a 2001 Silverado 2500HD Duramax diesel. I put 45,000 miles on each of them before trading, and would get less brake dust in a month than I get on my Titan in a day. Those were the best truck brakes ever, no warping, no judder and no maintenance.
I had my share of G.M. woes, but they put on the best brakes (or did) of any truck maker. I say "did," because in typical G.M. fashion, they've gone back to using drum rears the 2005 truck line. Pathetic...
