I can't speak for your G35. I can only speak about any LSD Nissan has used in any of its trucks. The percentage of spin is MUCH higher than the ABLS system thus the ABLS system works far better. I've actually had my 02 Supercharged Frontier 4X4 in 2WD when while stuck in snow...spun the right rear like there was no LSD. Their LSD was useless. I was then told by a Nissan tech that I have to, while holding the Ebrake release, step on the Ebrake to TORQUE the spinning wheel to help send power to the other wheel. BS.....that's what ABLS does! And everyone in the Frontier forum complains about the same thing. I'm not convinced that the system in your G35 wouldn't work better if it had ABLS. But I'd be guessing because I haven't driven one. I also would bet if you had the VDC, you also had some sort of electronic interaction.
