The speakers on the dash are card board. You will tear them out and replace them with REAL tweaters, which means you should buy a "component" speaker system for the front that will include the appropriate crossovers and the correctly sized door speakers all in the same box.
If you are a stereo expert, then you might get everything seperately, but getting components from the get-go is easier. The door speakers that come with the set will cover your mids and lows and the tweeters will cover the highs. You can get everything seperately, but I would suggest talking with an installer or other expert to see which crossovers and tweeters would be appropriate for your project.
ALSO, you might find something better on crutchfield.com
Alot of the chain stores can't offer the variety that an audio retailer can. Try Ebay after you have found what you want on crutchfield and you will get a better price. Buy NEW! you might get burned buying used speakers or crossovers.
I like Infinity. Take a look at their higher-end Kappa or Perfect series'.
I doubt you'll find those at Circuit City, however.
The tweeters will come with several mounting options in the box. You will find one that is more recessed that will fit UNDER that plastic speaker grid / cover on the dash or you can cut a hole big enough for the tweeter to 'sit' in / on that cover. This is nice for sound. You will be able to swivel most tweeters and point them in the direction you want.
