Trying to connect my brake controller to the wiring harness supplied by Nissan. I have 4 wires coming from the controller

White Ground going to black ground (harness)
Black Battery going to red
Red (labelled "Stop") going to ????
Blue (labelled "Brake going to ????

So is "Stop" for the brake light or the brake output

or is "Brake" for the brake light or the brake

any help????

Thanks

I looked through the thread above-- but I am having trouble identifying what the labelled wires in the controller are. Is the wire labelled "brake" for the brake light or for brake out. Same for the red controller wire labelled stop--- is it for the stop light or does it control the brakes? I would guess the wire labelled brake controls the brake and the wire labelled stop is for the "stop signal"--- but thats just a guess.

It is a Escort brake controller--- came with the camper.

I would say stop is for the brake signal! And brake is the brake feed.

White Wire – Ground (B – GND)
Blue Wire - Trailer Electric Brakes (BR / W - BRK OUT)
Black Wire - Positive Terminal on battery (R - Fused B+)
Red Wire - Cold Side of stop lamp switch (R / G - BRK SIG)
No connection - (R / L – ILL)

controller colors (truck harness colors)

Every brake controller I have ever seen uses the same 4 colors. Don't know why Nissan couldn't just make it easy.
