Any updates to this, meaning has anyone actually had an actuator installed to lock/unlock there tailgate with an aftermarket alarm or even the factory? I just had an alarm installed and the installer said he wasnt sure, would have to go inside and see if it worked with rods or a cable, if it was a cable then the price would go up and he couldnt say for sure that it would even work.

Can anyone shed some light on this issue?
