so are you saying that if you dont get above, say, 35-45 mph that it will not shift into higher gear when in drive, that it will stay in, say, 3rd gear? is that what your saying? if so, i have a hard time seeing that. ever really listen to it shift gears? it will shift into 4th or even 5th at 35-40 mph.

i, for one, when driving around town, leave it in 4th. it does help out in in-town driving to keep the revs from getting too low. ever punch the gas in D while going 40? it down shifts to at least 3rd, if not 2nd. in 4th it only has to go down 1 maybe 2 gears. maybe to my simple mind that equals less wear and tear on the tranny. who knows?

do what you want. next thing you know somebody is going to say that its not good to get above 60 mph in reverse. yeah right. lol
