I've put a bug deflector on every truck I've owned and have never regretted it. I'm a true believer that they do their job in keeping minor things from adding to the wear and tear on the hood and windshield. Besides, IMHO they're cheap compared to the cost of a windshield or repairing a hood. One must remember that they are deflectors and not shields.
