Sir you are correct.Keep your receipts for oil, filters etc and then I always write the date and mileage on the back of the receipt when I do the maintenance.
Then I'll fill out the correct page in the Service and Maintenance Guide,and staple the receipt to the page.
And I'm sooooo very mistrustful of big bussiness that I make sure I don't use the same pen every time I fill out the page.

And when I have to have things done like a Tranny flush etc. I never leave my vehicle unattended I always take a book and wait.
