No cutting at all. It replaces the stock Y pipe with a quility Y pipe into a 3" collector pipe. Then the muffler is a single in dual out design. This system can be setup to exit either duals straight out the back or dual side exits on both sides.

Another word of advice: You have to crank down on the clamps to stop the pipes from moving. It really builds up your forearm strength. Hopefully, in a week or two I can get enough time to get mine welded up at a local shop so I don't have to worry about the clamps anymore. It's not a necessary step, but I want to be positive nothing is going to move on me.
