It depends. Some people assume that once they "pull ahead by 10 lengths" they're kicking someone's butt. I don't know about you guys but I really don't see where ANYONE would stay in it and be that far behind. I think a lot of kills are people jockeying for position in a lane and the yahoo thinks it's a race and punches it. Half of the street races out there aren't even races, but some people live off of that I suppose.
As far as the hemi thing goes, most of the hemis claiming kills are std cabs with mods. And quite frankly, they will beat us. Especially in the eighth mile. This is the range that most street races happen. It takes me the full 1/4 mile on motor to beat most of the hemis out there. The quad cabs? They are cake. Sorry to any Dodge boys reading this, but they are. The Chevy guys are generally a step behind but a cam change does wonders for them. Again, most of the std cabs are the ones that are fast and the exteded cabs are slower. I think the extended cabs are about the same weight as the crew cab titan. But the VHOs are running some excellent times with a minimum of mods, even with the extended cabs.
This is why I prefer the dragstrip. There is no doubt it is a race and who wins.
