Just got off the phone with my Dealer (Service Manager) and found that there was an announcement within the last few days regarding Titan Brakes. Seems like original supplier "screwed teh pooch" on the rotors (substandard material). Based on this, everyone who purchased a 2004 and early production 2005 (he couldn't remember the date that all new production included new rotors and pads) will get New Rotors and Pads---period. He wasn't sure if it would be a formal recall or just a "Campaign" where those who had problems would be taken care of at no charge. Warranty has been extended to 100k miles. "Campaign" does not include calipers. Vehicles produced prior to July 1, 2004 will also get new torque members and torque member bolts.
Having worked in the automotive industry for a long time, I know it will take a while for the pipeline to fill but new rotors and pads are coming soon to all dealers. then we can all go back to talking about haow many Fords or Chevys we passed.
