NewOrleansMike, thanks to you a bunch. 21 hours. I am hoping this was by yourself but I'm betting it wasn't. Was that a combined total or start to finish? I can imagine some nitemares doing a body lift (it would be my first although I have handled a few suspension lifts) but I am not sure if I am ready to tackle that. Is there a longer shifter rod that comes with the kit? And what about pedal & steering linkage, not to think of wiring harness length, etc, etc, etc?

The bracket/brace supplied with the lift kit for the big tow hitch is IMHO stronger than the bumper itself. I believe the rating for the hitch is above the limits of the truck, in addition to the fact that the hitch is mounted to the frame for strength. Long story short, the hitch is not compromised by the bracket.
