Version #1 of the Volant for the Titan had some fitment issues. If you do a search you should find a few threads that talk about this. (Fitment issues have since been rectified)

I ordered one last week and was afraid that I may get an "old" one also. So I called Volant and they took one off their shelf and sent it out. Should be here in a few days. I hope mine fits.

Good luck with yours. I too am hoping that install is quick and easy. Reading your post has me a little worried.
