The speaker outs from the RF head unit (before they go to the RF amp) are way way low.

I am using the navone 4-channel LOC:

and then to the Audio Control Matrix:

which amps front/rear/AUX jack (front/rear goes from Matrix to amps; amplified AUX jack goes to RF head unit)

another possibility is the UI-4 from www.altomobile.com if they ever manage to get it produced:

I'm not seeing any way to ditch the RF head unit & maintain integration with NAV & DVD. Mine is now pretty livable, since I never listen to AM or FM. Probably one of the new MP3 players with built-in FM tuner plugged into the AUX jack would be better than my RF head unit's FM reception.
