Well, it would be what I would look for initially. The LSx motor has tons of aftermarket support and is quickly becoming more affordable everyday (I think it will become the new 5.0, since LSx's are being put in everything).
Just giving what you asked for, my opinion. Ultimately it will be up to you...and it seems you are leaning toward the GT!
