I really wanted to get into a Titan for a cheap as possible. I actually started out looking at the Armada. I drove one MSRP 38K they wanted to sell me for 35K. I eventually settled on the Tital King Cab, I figured that was the only way I could get close to 25K. The only option I REALLY wanted was the power package that gives you the center console, power seat, etc. According to KBB, that would invoice at $24,444, so I figured I could get it under 25K. They didn't have one on the lot with only that option. The closest they had came with

1) the utility bed package (which I really don't need but I do like the spray-in liner)
2) bed tray
3) floor mats
4) billet grill (which I didn't really want to pay for, but I'm glad now that I have it!)

So the MSRP is like $28,300 and invoice $25,512 not including the grill (the truck also had some polished rims for $2000 that I had them take off). They come back with a price of $26,800, but the monthly is still too far over $500 and I don't feel like I'm close enough to 25K. Plus I tell them that I can appreciate the $2000 reduction in price, but the truck is starting out with $1500 in options I didn't want in the first place. They come back about 25 minutes later with $25,850, ZERO down, 2% financing ($508 a month) and the grill stays. DEAL!

These guys are a new dealership located next to a new freeway that is not yet completed, so they are really trying to make some deals, even though my salesman sucked, the sales manager worked with me.

When looking at the Armada, the salesman (Daniel) sits down and says "Let's say we are looking at $38000 for this Armada with T & L, and let's say you put down $11000 just for a round number, you will be paying about $1004 per month". I stood up, grabbed my DL off the table and walked out. He, of course, tried to stop me. I said "we are not even on the same planet, how can we continue talking? We paid more for our Yukon and put less down with a higher interest rate and pay less than $700 per month! Where are you getting these numbers from?" That's when the sales manager got involved. I still ended up leaving for a couple days, pricing at KBB and figuring out exactly what I wanted and how close they could come. THEN I went back and got a decent deal.

The stupid salesman kept telling me over and over that when the evaluation comes in the mail it should be all "Excellent". Yeah right!

Sorry for being long-winded on my first post!
