Stillen Brakes 5K update - FANTASTIC

These things are only about 90% broken in at 5K! Returned from an 800 mile road trip yesterday and took a look at the rotors and oddly enough the front right rotor appears 99% broken in with only the slightest hint of machining work, and the front left looks to be “less” broken in with more visible hatching left on the rotor face.

The rears still display very visible machining.
Oddly enough despite what looks to be an uneven break in the truck stops straight and true- RIGHT NOW !

One comment from a friend that drives a Tahoe- “This thing stops on a dime”

Stopping power has been increasing every trip- I have not yet been able to detect fade.

At one point the 5 freeway a tight group of us went from 85 mph to a dead halt – full “panic” stop - no fade no drama no wiggle whatsoever just firm controllable rapid deceleration.

Brake dust has been decreased significantly.

One note – this rotor pad combo DOES require warm up for max stopping power- I notice when I head out in the morning the first few cold stop require more effort and stopping distances are generally longer until you get some heat in the system. Nothing alarming but it is definitely noticeable.

Ill post some pics this weekend and look at the fluid level to see if I can get a feel on pad wear.
