CRC makes some stuff called Brake Quiet that you put on the back side of the pads (not the side that contacts the rotor). I noticed that Nissan's TSB calls for putting brake grease on the backs of the pads. I believe that both CRC Brake Quiet and Nissan's brake grease are intended to avoid the noise referenced by miketan. Another thought is that maybe they never bedded the pads by a series of hard braking & cooling periods.

I changed to Stillen's OEM size rotors & metal matrix pads (using CRC Brake Quiet) and I have no noise.
