I might suggest what we did:
I have a long post elsewhere but the essence is that the guy running the shop and I are both old-fashioned hotrodders. We took a look at the underside of the truck and decided that 2-1/2" to a 2-in/1-out Flowmaster 50 was the answer. We went from there with 3" to the fender and hid the outlet so that the local constabulary would not notice the truck so much.
The result is a quicker/harder jump off the line, better pulling through the midrange, and the high end is about the same. Cab drone is a little louder but my wife doesn't mind it and THAT was the deciding factor. The truck also will lock the torque converter at 40 MPH now, and hold lock.
The trick is to not completely dump the back pressure but to manage it correctly so you don't lose all your low end grunt like you would with a big dual-out system.
The price difference: $380 for this, out-the-door (including 7.8% sales tax) versus over $500 for the other systems, at least with the freight and install in our area.
Hope this helps.
