Well, the Titan, Q45, and QX56 all share the same engine. Both the Q45 and QX56 run on premium and squeeze 340 and 315 out of the engine. The Titan was originally advertised at 315, but magazine editors hated the fact that a gas guzzler required the expensive dino juice (93 octane). Nissan's response was to make it take 87 and it cut the HP to 305.

Another comment from the editors was that they think Nissan has drastically underrated the Titan's HP output. If that's the case, I don't know WTF they were thinking. If it really has 320 or more, they should advertise it b/c it'll only make the truck look much better than the competition.

So, who's going to pull their engine and test it?
