The way that I have my fogs wired, they are on anytime that the parking lights are on, as long as my dash switch is on. So my fogs can be on with just parking lights, low beams and/or high beams. They do a decent job of lighting, but I wish they were a bit brighter, even though there is a definite difference between having them on or off.
I wired mine using a switch made for the Xterra, Pathy, Pickup, etc. that fit perfectly into one of the blanks above the parking brake. Here is a link to my write up in the FAQ forum so you can see how I did it. It's pretty simple to do... Parking Lights WITH FOG LAMPS!!
