I was just thinking about how cool it would be to get the Stillen SC or maybe one day the STS turbo system, but even if one got these upgrades the tires on our trucks probably would not be up to par. Using these upgrades at say the drag strip or even zooming around town may be hard on the stock tires. What speed rating are most truck tires anyway? Probably not high enough to do drag racing or even safely going above 90mph or so. So is there a multi-purpose tire that would give good performance and a high speed rating, while still being a decently agressive (about the same as the stock goodyears or BFGs) tire capable of handling snow and the occasional mud and rocks? With the power that a turbo could produce, the stock tires probably do not have a chance and most people use their trucks for all kinds of things, making a full performance street type tire out of the question. So does such a tire exist? I'm sure if it does it isn't manufactured in the stock 18" wheel range as most good tires are not avalable in this size .
