Speed rating is fine and safe. As for hooking up? No.
The more hook-up you get, the less snow and off road ability you get. You need to find what works for you. If you have a 4x4, you shouldn't have much problems hooking up anyway. You can also modify the electronic diff to lock with a switch which would help out dramatically. But if you notice, track guys use slicks.
I don't go to the track, but I do want a SC on mine. I can't imagine how humiliating it would be to have my Mada with 20" rims and A/T tires rip up ANY TOYoty(which it can almost do now), G35, 350Z, BMW330, Mustang GT, RX8, etc. Lovin' it.
