When I first bought my 04 Titan in July, 2004 I had this problem. After a month I was tired of the fade and listening to CDs over and over so I torqued the antenna down some and my reception improved, alittle. A few months ago I moved to an area where FM transmission is poor and it all came back. This time I removed the antenna and lightly sanded the base of the antenna and mount. After that I have not had the problem.
