Are you talking about the primary cats or secondary cats (4wd only, 2wd has resonators)? And do you mean replace cats with high-flows, or eliminate with test pipes?

The only person I know that eliminated both primary and secondary cats was JetTech. He also had the JBA shorty headers. He lost gobbs of low-end grunt and ended up re-installing the primary cats.

I have replaced my rear cats with Dynomax bullet resos. You just need to install bungs for the secondary O2 sensors to keep the ecu happy...just make sure you use good gaskets so you'll have no leaks. You'll get excellent flow with a straight-thru bullet, w/o the rasp you get with just test pipes.

There are quite a few here who are running true duals w/ x/h pipe, although a properly sized single muff setup w/ new y-pipe will flow just as well.
