I took 3 HiFonics HZ10 subwoofers out of my BMW 740 bandpass box. They are great subs for the cheapo price! I'm not a big fan of $500 subwoofers. I run Eclipse for my mids and highs in almost all my vehicles (which can be had cheap on e-bay) and they are great! My ears like the sound of Eclipse better then Infinity, MB Quart, Boston Acoustics, etc. I think it's the tweeters making the difference.
My favorite subwoofers of all time have been M&M Godfathers and Petras Hyperthrows. Once again, these subwoofers could be had in the $75-$150 range for 10" to 15" subwoofers and they rocked non-stop for years!
My favorites amplifiers are US Amps! HOLY MOSES THESE THINGS ARE BAD ***. Why do I have HiFonics Amps? No clue. I sold my 3 US Amps from a truck years ago and have been on the cheap since them. I got the HiFonics Amps on Ebay cheap and they seem to sound good, run good and they don't overheat.
