OK,lets gets some numbers on rear end failures.Just the rear,not the front.I'll try to resist making it too complicated.Use this format.
1)Year-
2)4X4 or 4x2
3)BT or OFFROAD PK-just yes,or no,or both.
4)The Locker?-Just yes or no
5)Miles at 1st failure
6)number of failures
7)Have you ever towed?Yes or no
8)Max tow weight-best guess?
9)Do you live in hilly area?Yes or no
10)Ever have the brake problem-just yes or no.
11)Do you have VDC-yes,or no-this was added late-sorry.If you aren't sure-just ask.
Sorry about so many questions.
If you can use this format,great,if not,just write it out on one line-I'll put it together.
Sorry we can't do a pre failure study,but it would be too much info for me-not that computer adept.I will post updates of the numbers,on this and other posts.I'll also bump this up occasionally.Thanks.Charlie-Mikey,Philly,basshead-give us some help.I am sure I have seen at least 10 rear end failures (not counting multiples)posted over the year.
