Re: THE FINAL TITAN BRAKE FIX and the RESULTS
Well...1000 miles after the final fix and no problems so far. A lot of brake dust for the first 500 miles, but that seems to have quit. Unquestionably, these are larger than the OEM and the braking is so far superior to what I had before, it's difficult to compare. When I developed the judder at 2500 miles, I drove my salesman's Titan who'd already had the judder and the final fix. The difference was night and day! They wanted to just resurface the rotors until the new ones came in, but I insisted that they instead call me when the next set of new rotors arrived. Why make two trips for the same problem? Anyway, so far I'm more than satisfied. It's difficult to describe, but there's a more "solid" feel when braking than there was with the originals.
Anyway, making a long trip next weekend, so I'll update on the brakes after that. It's likely I'll encounter snow and be off road in the mud and snow, so any problems I have I'll report.
Off topic....why can't I load my avatar? It's only 100 by 75 pixels and less than 19kb?
