I recently did my second oil change (at 5k) and went with the Mobil 1 0w 40 and an OEM filter. Simple job... done it a ton of times.

Now when I hit WOT the oil pressure gauge will spike up to the High line. I dont recollect seeing that happen before. Btw, my first oil change was done with Castrol 5w 30 at 2k miles (and OEM filter).

Anyways... nothing else seems out of the ordinary. Of course, my oil level is fine. Checked it again this afternoon.

Am I being paranoid or is this rather normal to see? I know the gauge is going to spike some when you hit higher rpm's... just didnt think it would be hitting the H.

Thoughts anyone?
