The 7.62x39mm is "too powerful" for scope mounting???!!!!!
The sheer absurdity in that statement absolutely astounds me!!!!!! Particularly when you consider other MORE powerful military and civilian rounds -- like the 7.62 NATO, the round in which the M14 and M24 are chambered -- are scoped and in a light weapons platform. And no one loses their eyes.
And AK47s aren't exactly capable of pinpoint accuracy either. A so-called "trained or expert shot" can only wring out so much accuracy. (And what exactly is your definition of such an individual?)
