I think the gauge should definately move when the engine rpms go up. It spins the pump faster, therefore, pressure is higher. It should be higher when the oil is cold, and lower when the oil is warm. When the engine is at idle, it will not move because the pump is at a constant rpm.

I agree with you but not all of the trucks are opperating the same. And I cant figure out why?
