I just went out with the truck again...
If you did the +18 you would be about 3/4" away from the front spindle... and 1" away from the rear leaf...
For a tire with that large of a side wall, I would definatly want to leave a bit more clearance...
Im going to post some pictures now of the 17x9 -6mm wheels... the 17x9 -12mm will stick out 6mm more... which is not very much at all...
