My 04 had the "final fix"... let's just say that the brakes were the least of the problems with my 04 that was born late into the run. My 05, which had the new brakes according to the VIN, was just brought in for, you guessed it, excessive brake dust and brake judder. I requested that the kit they put on the 04 be the one that went on my 05, the first time I bring it in, not "after they try the other steps". I only put about 2,000 miles on my brakes before getting rid of the 04 so I can't vouch for long term but short term, it made it worthwhile just to not have black wheels after 2 days. They feel about the same, sometimes I think the old pads stopped quicker other days, I think the new ones are better. Hard to compare without a direct back to back comparison. Overall, I have to say the stopping power is awesome for the size of the vehicle and lack of size of the rotors and pads... part of the problem maybe?
