I replaced the OEM "Ranchos" with PRG's Bilsteins. They are far superior. The main thing I noticed is that the Bilsteins have good rebound, whereas the Ranchos had very little. One of the OEM "Ranchos" was actually already blown, and made a strange gurgling sound on compression. I think your non-off road OEM shocks might be a bit better than the "Ranchos".

It is difficult for me to isolate the ride difference applicable to the Bilsteins as I also put on the DR coilovers. The combination made a dramatic difference.
