My recent experience is, no, it isn't excessive.

They tried to fix mine via the TSB for the 04 slider. Fix didn't work. Had to replace entire window plus do the TSB on the new window per Nissan. It takes at least 24 hours or more for the sealant to cure before they can water test it to make sure there are no more leaks. If there are still leaks, more sealant, another 24 hours for cure and then water test again.

And that's if they get on it immediately after you bring it in and my experience tells me that doesn't happen all that often if the service department is real busy. Let's not even talk about parts availability either.

I would call them and not wait for them to call you to tell you it's ready.
