Blew my front differential too!!
Have an '05 LE 4x4 w/15k on it. Other than occasional use for a heavy snow, I've only been using 4x4 for the last two months twice a day to get in and out of the job site of the house I am building and move some stuff around the site. Today I was moving a steel job box, dragging it with a strap. Done it a few times before and the truck has never even broke a sweat. It could almost do it at idle.
Put it in reverse, went about 10' and BANG - knew something was wrong right away. Smelled the gear oil too. Looked underneath and there are housing pieces all over with a big pool of oil under the front. It's still sitting out there at the job site waiting for the tow truck to come get it.
I have the PGR 2" level kit on the front but there's no way that could have caused this. I had to take a lot of crap from the other guys at the site with a Dodge and a Chevy. The dealer better cover this no questions asked!!
