Negatory on the working prototype requirement. What is required is filing of an application with a disclosure sufficient to enable one of ordinary skill in the art to practice the invention. 35 U.S.C. 112. In the case of electrical & software inventions, this frequently takes the form of flow charts & block diagrams. The general nature of the level of disclosure required in a particular field of invention can be evaluated by conducting an online search at
www.uspto.gov.
