I don't live there, but know that area pretty well. It's a great place to live. Just north of town is great. Huntersville, concord, and surroudning areas are close, slightly cheaper to live in and not as conjested. The schools are state run, so they all get basically same funding per child. The schools in and around charlotte are pretty good. Depending on where in Mich. you live, housing may seem high or not. I moved from ohio 14 years ago and will NEVER move back north . Good luck!!
