Taxes here aren't horrible. If you live in the county compared to the city your property taxes will be about half. You do have to pay a yearly property tax on your vehicles. The titan runs about $200 a year. My jeep is $85. It is base on the value of your vehicle and comes down every year. I don't know in particular the area you are talking about, but that whole area is nice rolling hills and fairly close to the mountains and only couple hours from the beach.
Of course you will be very close to Lowe's motor speedway. Charlotte is basically the unofficial home of Nascar, so if you are a fan its a good place to be.
