Re: Possible move to Charlotte, NC -HELP
Huntersville, north of charlotte, is nice..but its not much cheaper than Charlotte. I live in Statesville which is about 45mins north of Charlotte and its nice, but not something you would want to drive everyday. If you're looking for something a little cheaper and more rural, look towards Concord or even towards Stanly county. My uncle lived there and worked at First Union in Charlotte for a long time. Perhaps south of charlotte is better, inside South Carolina. There are definitely differences in teh cost of living within 30 miles each way you go. I personally don't mind my 30 minute drive to work a day, but if you're not one that can/will do that then be prepared to pay up for home and everything else.
Gastonia also isn't a bad area but just as congested and can be very rough depending on the location you're in.
Sorry thats not much help,
Adam
