Re: Test Drove a Titan CC LE Today and have some ?s
I purchased a 2006 Titan LE 4X4 with every option except rear dvd or side air bags since both require sunroof( for which I definitely didn't want).Although I really wanted the side airbags since it was going to be our main travel vehicle, I couldn't see having a sunroof to have airbags.
But as far as options go I LOVE the nav, it adds a lot of information screens, two trip computers, fuel economy and range to empty, tire pressure, tire rotation and oil change mileage monitors, dual climate controls are located in there and if you opt for sat radio, the information of the song artist and station can be displayed on the entire screen or along the bottom while the nav is displayed. A lot of people will say save your money and go aftermarket, heck I am a Garmin direct dealer and can purchase at dlr cost and still opted for the OEM install. I really like the seamless integration of the interface with all of the other features. My wife's RX-8 has built in nav from Mazda also, but it doesn't offer as much useful information as the titan's system does.
As far as ride goes I have the opportunity to ride both 4X4 and 2X4 versions of the same truck on a daily basis, same except one in 4x and the other not, and I feel like the ride quality is comparable and noise levels lower than any Chevy I have ever owned, and build quality way better.
As far as options go, like I said I purchased a 2006 Titan LE 4X4 with Nav, Off Road, Big Tow, XM Sat Radio, Sliding Over Head Racks, Load Warrior Basket, Sliding Tool Box, Sliding Upper Tray, Sliding Bed Extender, All Weather Floor Mats, and OEM Step Rails ( I LIKE A LOT, but the ground clearance is limited when transversing even moderate ditches, although not many after market versions could better that considering the wheel base without additional lift).
