I don't know man, mine works 10x better than when I had my PAC LOC hooked up. And I have zero noise. I did another Titan a few weeks ago and he had alternator noise too. He had an old Fosgate amp and wanted a new one anyway so he bought a new Alpine and we swapped it out this past Saturday. We also moved the ground to a seat bracket bolt instead of on the back wall. He now has zero noise as well. So if you have good amps, try a different ground. As for the volume, you have to remember this is probley only a 1 volt or less preamp signal, so maybe that's what your experiencing. The stereo goes up to 31, and you generally want your loudest clean setting to be 3/4 volume, which is about 24. Mine hits loud and clear on 24 and I can go up to 26 or 27 before I hear any noticable distortion. I think you are just used to your LC6 giving you your volume at a lower number is all.
