Do you need them? Well, no you don't need a lot of things that help improve your vehicle. While my truck isn't stock, it isn't far from it. The prg bars will help any Titan, but more so those with larger tires, more power (ie supercharged) or those with softer springs. All leaf spring vehicles are going to have a certain amount of wrap without something like a traction bar. There are other methods for controlling it, but these bars would be the best. As for the install before or after lift question, I'll leave that to Greg. I think their is enough thread on the heims to where you can install them pre-lift screwed all the way in, and have enough adjustment post-lift by spining them out. But I suppose that depends on how much rear lift you plan on doing, and I'd consult Greg before you weld anything in place.
