I have a 2004 Titan LE 4x4 and just turned over 50,000 miles. I bought it new in April of 04 and love this truck. However, I tow several trailers (Boat – Utility – Race Car) and have concern about the Rear Differential Failures that have occurred.

The race car trailer with the car – extra wheels/tires, has a tow weight of about 8,000 lbs. I always tow with the Tow Mode switch on, and over drive off.

Additionally, we drive on some gravel lake roads that it is better to use 4 wheel drive. I probably have over 2500 miles in 4 wheel drive on the truck.

Regarding the Differential Failures, are there any early signs that I should be watching for?
