Tire Question

Ok this is one of those times where I feel like I may have gotten screwed in my purchase of a used truck, so please let me know that this is normal.

Just my luck, my new truck that I have had for 2 1/2 weeks I run over a big piece of metal something and now have a slow leak in my left rear tire. Ok, no problem it wouldnt be the first tire I have changed, hell it wouldnt even be the first rear left tire Ive changed because I ran over something (happened on my last truck a week AFTER putting new tires on it). Get out the lug nut key, I just had the tires rotated so they are nice and pnuematic tight, I cant budge it, until I break it. I broke the damn locking lug nut, I must have had it kinked or something, I am out of town too, so I plan on taking it up to the dealer here in College Station and seeing if I can get a new one. I sprayed that fix a flat crap in it to get me by since I couldnt take it off.

anyways, on to my question...

I pulled my spare down and its very evidently used, and its a 17"??? I have the 265/70/18's on my truck? Why do I have a 17" Spare? When I roll the tire up to one of mine on the truck it is the same size, but I guess I expected an 18" spare.

The idiot who did not real good care of this truck before me didnt rotate his tires, so the rears were real worn while the front looked good still. I just rotated them so the backs look good. I am one of those people that just hate to change 1 tire, so my first thought was now I only have 1 good looking tire, might as well change them all and put the good looking one on my spare, especially after I saw how used it was. I think I may scour a salvage yard and look for a Titan I can steal a wheel off of, maybe grab an engine cover while I'm at it.

frustration is taking over, Im going to run down to the parking lot and take pics of the locking lug nut.
